Somehow two enemies never showed up and the boss was killed fast. sometimes I kill him more then 5 seconds faster then this. Its becuse its fun to shot more then Ramboo I guess. I did some very unneccacary shots in the run. You actually don't have to shot so fast to succeed with this shots. If I don't pull out more then two waves of shot I just try to slow down my shooting a bit and then shot faster again. so in some places I just "charge" on closer enemies, walls or the bottom of the screen before I can "release" the spread shots on enemies in the other side of the screen.
If the target is close you can easilly perform this type of shots. When you get more then the normal two waves of bullets I just mash the "B" button as fast as i can to hold it ) Sometimes I kill enemies very quick, some times not. Its hard and you have to shot in right tempo or so. And this is why I can't get close to the TAS time. Its becuse when I shall kill a single small target when I'm not close to it then I want to do this type of special fire. And its the best weapon almoust every were but its hard to use it sometimes. Just the "Shaking my arm technique"Īs fast as I took the spread weapon I had it in the hole run. No turbo buttons or rapid fire or shit like that were used. I used a NES, normal controller and a normal American NTSC Contra cartridge and a DVD recorder to "catch" the run. Also "Nystroem" who helped me to buy the game trough Ebay. Without it this run should not have been this good and to Nate for the help to get a DVD recorder so I could record the run. A few hours of attempts ended up with this run.īiggest Thanks goes to Tommy "Tmont" Montgomery for his old run in 11:25. My best time for Probotector was 13:25 when Contra arrived from USA.
